Classical Studies in Horary

Horary Astrology, the art of answering questions, is not very different than its divinatory sisters, Tarot, or I Ching, except that each method uses different tools and technologies.

Why study horary? Because natal doesn't give you all the answers that you, your family and friends, and your clients ask. You may have used natal to tell you that you are likely to move this year - but is the house you just looked at a good match for you? Your client's chart may show relationship issues for this year, but is the guy she just met last weekend a prince or a frog? And what if your cousin's birth time is uncertain - he still has questions!

Taking this horary course will give you the depth and experience to answer all of these questions - and many more! Classical Studies in Horary is a 12 lesson course devoted to teaching the ancient methods of problem-solving which apply to Horary, Electional and event interpretation. You then answer the questions in each lesson. After finishing the first four lessons, you are eligible to enroll in Classical Studies in Electional Astrology Course, the Classical Studies in Mundane Course, or the Classical Studies in Medical Astrology Course.

Lee has taught on-line at Kepler College for ten years. In her private courses, she takes that experience in cutting edge on-line instruction technology and applies it to a less academic and more practical setting. Her take on adult education? Strictly business! She won't waste your time on exercises that don't teach you how to do the method she is presenting. And that is the purpose of a teacher, after all - not to impress you, not to overwhelm you - but to give you an introduction to the material in a way that you leave the course better educated - which means not only knowing more about the material, but being able to ask questions, and explore more on your own.

But the real value of this Course is not the lessons, but the opportunity to learn from your own horary examples. These become the subject for a mentoring environment where personal feedback accelerates your learning. These lessons offer you the opportunity to study Classical Astrology as our forebears practiced it and upgrade your astrological expertise, while simultaneously allowing you to experience the power of classical delineation. By learning historical methods apart from natal, you have control over how much you then inject into your own interpretive system.

All Lee’s courses assume basic knowledge of natal astrology, which would include signs, planets, houses, aspects, solar returns, and transits. A previous exposure to horary astrology is not necessary, and may even be a hindrance, because modern methods are not used in the course.

When you have finished any of Lee's courses, you can be confident that you will have more tools to understand a chart, and the grounding to apply them. If by the end of the course, you either haven't had enough Horary, or you find that horary is completely addicting, there's the Advanced Classical Studies in Horary Course.

By the final session, you will be able to make predictions from a horary chart. To pass the Course, the work submitted must demonstrate a consistently high quality. Lessons may be submitted in either English or French: by fax or e-mail.
